Overview of Grand-Béréby

Located in the region of Southwest Cote d’ivoire, Bas-Sassandra, the city of Grand-Bereby is part of the department of San Pedro. It is 417 km from Abidjan along the coast and is halfway between Tabou and San Pedro.

The whole territory of the district is covered by a succession of hills and plains. The area was once covered by a dense forest, which earned it the name of the "Green Desert". But this vegetation has now given way to agro-industrial plantations and logging.
