About Amandla Capital

Amandla Capital Real Estate (Amandla Capital) is a hospitality real estate investment and asset management platform. Amandla Capital structures assets in partnership with real estate owners and hotel operators to secure stable yields and serve the needs of institutional investors in West Africa.

As a platform, Amandla Capital creates value through transaction structuring, asset management and portfolio management for its three stakeholders: the institutional investors, the landowners and the hotel operators.

Amandla Capital is currently raising funds for its dedicated hospitality real estate vehicles.

The company operates mainly in West Africa and its head office is located in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

  • Job Function

- The Finance Officer will take charge of the financial, accounting and administrative operations and transactions of the company including, but not limited to the following duties:

o Record accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank statements and payroll data

o Reconcile bi-weekly, monthly and yearly all operational and financial recorded transactions

o Support the CFO and other executives with projects and tasks when required

o Be a key point of contact for all external service providers (Admin, Accounting, Finance, Legal)

o Provide all needed data for the preparation of financial statements by external accountants

o Ensure the timely completion of the financial statements

o Review the prepared financial statements for accuracy and data integrity

o Manage cash controls as well as maintain book keeping up-to-date

o Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual budget reports

o Maintain high quality procedural documentation and standards

o Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial and accounting systems, procedures and processes

- The Finance Officer will join a team with a start-up culture and get opportunities to work closely with the Management and take on responsibilities and progress as we grow.

  • Job Skills and Abilities

- Technical Abilities

o Advanced computer and MS Excel skills

o Excellent analytical and numerical skills

o Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures

o Perfectly fluent in French and intermediate level or higher in English

- Soft skills

o Strong administrative, management and organizational skills

o Discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

o Self-motivated and team-oriented

o Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills

- Required Qualifications

o Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

- Experience o 5 + years of work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
